Life-Saving Skills Training
Be the one who starts compressions.
Two things happen when someone collapses: either people freeze, or someone starts compressions. This training is about being the second one.
New weekly course
First aid for knife wounds, and CPR.
Wednesdays, 6pm to 8pm at Sporting Club Thamesmead, every week from 4 November.
Two skills in one evening: stopping someone bleeding to death before an ambulance arrives, and restarting a heart. Both are things an ordinary person can learn in a room with a mannequin and someone to show them.
Places are paid for in advance, and there are only 10 a session.

Small groups, hands-on
Everyone gets time on the mannequin.
Every person in the room gets their own turn at compressions on the mannequin, coached one to one until it feels automatic. Ten people maximum, so nobody spends the session watching.
What’s included
You’ll learn how to recognise a cardiac arrest, deliver effective chest compressions, use a defibrillator, and put someone in the recovery position.
This is practical training, not a certificated first aid qualification. If you need a certificate for work, get in touch and we’ll point you to the right course.
