About Go To Many
I’m Lisa Hamilton, and I set up Go To Many because I went through the private school admissions process on my own and it was harder than it should have been.
I started preparing my son in Year 3. His state school was doing its job, but it wasn’t going to get him through a selective entrance exam on its own, so we found a tutor, and I started learning the process from scratch. Which schools. Which deadlines. What a bursary application actually asks for. What happens in the interview.
Nobody handed me any of that. Other families had it passed down. I had to go and find it.
What struck me most was how much of the advantage was simply information: knowing to start early, knowing the funding existed, knowing what “all-rounder” means to an admissions tutor. None of that is secret. It’s just unevenly shared.
Go To Many exists to share it.
Some families already know how the system works. Some already know what to do in an emergency. Go To Many exists so neither one is down to luck.
What we do
Two conversations, same communities
We work with families from underrepresented and lower-income backgrounds who want more for their children than the path that’s been set out for them. We run workshops and webinars, we connect parents to tutors, we help with bursary and scholarship applications, and we build the community that makes the whole thing survivable.
We also deliver first aid and trauma training: CPR for the public, and bleeding control for young people in schools. Because the same communities that get left out of one conversation get left out of the other.
We are a community interest company, not a private business. Any surplus goes back into the work.
Where we’re going
Money as well as guidance
The long-term aim is money as well as guidance: contributing towards tuition, school fees, uniform, trips and school dinners for families in our programme.
Those costs are real at independent schools and no one funds them for you. We’re building towards that through corporate sponsorship and partnerships.
Future projects
Developing, not yet launched
AI Academy
An AI literacy course for primary pupils, Years 3 to 6. What AI is, where it’s useful, where it gets things wrong, and how to use it without handing over your thinking.
Planned as a Discovery Day, a six-week programme and a twelve-week programme with project work.
Direct financial support
A fund contributing towards tuition, fees, uniform, trips and school dinners for families in the Parent Journey.
